Buffalo Chicken Burgers
21 May 2013
My husband loves buffalo chicken, and burgers, so this buffalo chicken burger was definitely one for him! He’s not really a fan of blue cheese so instead I decided to top the burgers with melted cheddar and some ranch coleslaw, which made it extra delicious! I hope you guys enjoy!
Ingredients: {recipe adapted from bunsinmyoven.com}
1 lb ground chicken
1 1/2 cups panko
1/2 cup hot sauce {Franks} plus more for topping
2 Tbsp ranch seasoning powder
1 egg
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns
{for the ranch coleslaw}
2 cups coleslaw mix
1/4 cup prepared ranch dressing
1 tablespoon ranch seasoning powder
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, panko, hot sauce, ranch powder, and egg. Stir to combine thoroughly.
Cook the chicken patties on the grill or a grill-pan over medium-high heat for six minutes per side or until a meat thermometer inserted in the center reaches 160 degrees.
Top with additional hot sauce and cheddar cheese, and cook for a minute or two, until melted.
To prepare the ranch coleslaw, mix together the coleslaw mix, ranch dressing, and ranch powder in a small bowl to combine.
Place the chicken patties on the sandwich buns, top with the ranch slaw, and drizzle with extra hot sauce, if desired.
This is man-pleasing summer-time food at its best!
