Anna Hernandez Senior Pics

Last summer I had the opportunity to take photos for Jr. Miss at Mattawa High School which Anna was participating in — then this year she asked if I would take her senior pics, which of course I jumped at the chance to do because she’s such a sweetie!

Originally we were going to travel to tricities to get some cool, “city” looking photos, but we kind of ran out of time, so we had to improvise with whatever we could find here in Mattawa. The other day when I took my brother and sister in law’s family photos we passed this AWESOME run down building covered in bright graffiti–it had a cool shabby chic door frame, and cute little windows, and I knew it would be perfect for her, so we did manage to find some “city-looking” pictures out here in the country… even if it was in the dodgiest part of town! (We didn’t stay there too long!)

We also got some BEAUTIFUL country pictures in; {I managed to convince her!} She’s a country girl, born and raised in Mattawa, so I think those pictures reflect who she is a little more. The photo-shoot ended up being so much fun, that we kept taking photos until my camera ran out of memory and the sun went down (which happened at the exact same time!) ┬áHer friend Salud came along, and was SO helpful… and it was just fun hanging out with the girls, giggling, and exploring some new parts of Mattawa together. So here are some of my favorite shots from her photoshoot; she is SUCH a beauty, and thanks to some training from Jr. Miss also poses like a pro! So she was pretty much the dream subject!
